I’m sure there are Many reasons it’s difficult, even for sincere souls, to grasp the meaning of spiritual concepts because there is such a large variety of them. We can start with the fact that even within the most accurately conveyed explanations of how people can develop their souls in Love, there will be different explanations, depending upon what the teacher has accepted as true. It always comes back to helping people learn that everyone is entirely responsible for their own spiritual growth, development and understanding.

None can believe how powerful prayer is, and what it is able to effect, but those who have learned it by experience. –Martin Luther

Love is the ingredient of all knowledge; all truth is knowledge, but all knowledge is not truth. The mind can become stuck with certain concepts and ‘decide’ they are true. But the mind of a person who has not developed their soul in love, especially in the Grace of God’s Divine Love, will fail to find spiritual truths. If their concepts are working for them, they will be satisfied with what they believe. But, “Change is the Law Eternal” and the higher laws go into effect over material laws, which can help seekers-of-truth realize they have more to learn if they want to continue their spiritual progress.

It can be disconcerting to see how so many people live ‘by the sword’ and out of harmony with love. But I have found it impossible to even attempt to change their attitudes. I have faith in God’s higher laws, and one which states, ”everyone reaps what they sow”. Many people are impatient and want to see them ‘get their just dues’ right now. I feel that is one of the reasons that wars continue non-stop throughout centuries.

I heard an account of warring factions killing one another over some age-old conflict, which was taking place next to an orphanage. They were too busy fighting to concern themselves with the safety of the children. Mother Teresa came to protect and save the children. The ‘warriors’ actually stopped fighting while she took the children to safety. They then resumed fighting. This, to me, is an example of people who have failed to develop their souls in love.

One of the ways spirits progress in the natural or celestial heavens is by helping those on lower levels to learn about the importance of Love, and how it has the power to remove blocks and overcome fears. The development of a soul’s love nature enables it to progress to higher levels of awareness and consciousness. As souls progress in love, they will also progress to higher locations in the spirit world. If a person wants to invoke the highest power to elevate their soul’s condition, turning to God in prayer for the Gift of Divine Love brings the highest Grace to empower the growth of the soul. As we turn to God in prayer, this commences our spiritual growth and change. It seems that many people are not aware of their potential to become divine souls. The people who have become aware of this possibility can help others learn by demonstrating this Love in their daily living and interchanges.

I will share here a lovely prose written by a loving soul who has been praying for God’s transforming Love for decades, March 3, 2010. Posted by amysword in Heart to Heart;

“True religion is the relationship between the human soul and the Soul of God. Colossal monuments have been raised to glorify the divine, but the only sanctuary God enters is the human heart whose door is opened by soul-felt longing.

“Sacred texts have been written in every language to honor the lives and teachings of those few who have been in true union with God. But the music and lingering fragrance of a visit from God can only be described by one who has received this Holy Guest.

“Prayer may be read, spoken, sung, invoked by incense and gesture, but only the soul’s earnest plea, however brief, is heard by God’s Ear.

“Moral laws have governed billions of people for thousands of years, but God’s one Law of Love fulfills every single demand for leading a virtuous life.

“You may find evidence of God in the majesty of Nature and infinity of Space, but only in the eyes of humanity do you see a pure reflection of the Divine and the object of God’s immortal Love.”

The Oahspe Bible* reveals the condition of its spirit authors by the way they write, and what they write about. They give evidence of an ancient civilization, and the conditions on earth at the time they lived, even the false notions which they held during their earth life, despite the lapse of centuries.

*Written by John Ballou Newbrough (1828-1891), an American dentist who reported to have received it by automatic writing. The Oahspe Bible was published in 1882, purporting to contain a history of the earth for twenty four thousand years, in which “new revelations” from “the Ambassadors of the angel hosts of heaven [were] prepared and revealed to man in the name of Jehovih…”

This Oahspe Bible is a repository of ideas and moral laws that existed for many centuries before the dawn of what we call our civilization. The spirit writers show a steady growth toward a standard of conduct maintained by many diverse societies and cultures, and exhibit the same adherence to the laws of God which govern the development of the natural human love. Basically, among all peoples of divergent races, humans have striven, consciously or unconsciously, toward the expression and fulfillment of these laws of conduct which were given them when God implanted them with a soul. This body of work evidences this slow development through many ages and manifestations toward a greater consciousness of and obedience to these commandments of God. This was before the time when God made available the Divine Love to all beloved souls, when I proclaimed the glad tidings that this Love, which gives Immortality to all who seek at-Onement with God, was attainable through prayers to our beloved Creator.

The spirit writers could deal only with that phase of the soul’s slow and arduous turning to the knowledge of the true God, and their obedience to the laws which were laid down for their happiness and salvation as souls created in His Image. The Oahspe Bible does not include the prophecy of the rebestowal of God’s Love. Only the prophets of the Old Testament, attuned to the voice of God through the ministering angels, conveyed the message that foretold of my coming, and the advent of the new Law — God’s Divine Love.

The Oahspe Bible gives an account of the vast ages through which the earth had to pass before it was in a condition to support life. The spirit writers provide an account of life on the earth as they knew it, complete with their own preconceived notions and subjective experiences. Many of them remain still, after long centuries, in the lower planes of the spirit world because they have retained erroneous beliefs and superstitions which they held on earth. Although these spirit have written great detail concerning the phases of human life at the time they lived, their stories are permeated with their own particular narrow cult and sect, which makes much of their information inaccurate.

I would like to confirm that all my four brothers and three sisters were born in Egypt and my family remained there for about ten years. While there, my father set up a successful trade as a carpenter and made our household a comfortable one, with all the conveniences available to workmen at that time. Our home in Egypt was in a considerable town called Heliopolis, not far from Cairo. We stayed with relatives who had welcomed us, and enabled us to make a start in the new country. With us was quite a community of Jewish people, for we congregated together for safety as well as for community life, with a place for worship, a place for cleansing of women and also an elementary school, mainly to teach the fundamentals of the Jewish religion and the ability to write and enhance our understanding of the Scriptures.

For these reasons, he hesitated to dismantle the home in which we lived and return to Palestine. He also hesitated because conditions in Judea continued to be unfavorable even after the death of Herod. The ruler Archelaus, who followed him, continued in his unhappy ways; much blood flowed in Judea, and there was great unrest. It was ten years after my birth that Archelaus, who had been demoted to Ethnarch of Judea, was deposed and sent off as an exile to Gaul. Even then, conditions did not improve much because of the hostility of the people toward their Roman overlords.

My father and mother, after much hesitation, decided to break up their home and return to Nazareth. Mother was homesick for her people, and she pointed out that conditions in Galilee were better than in Judea. I was ten years old when our family moved to Nazareth. I made acquaintance with my cousin John, later known as the Baptist. The story of an angel coming to direct my father to return to Judea after the death of Herod is not true. I know this because my father has informed me of the truth regarding this incident.

In the 1950s, a series of messages was received by Dr. Daniel Samuels from Jesus of Nazareth. These were published as a pamphlet entitled “21 New Testament Revelations by Jesus.” They agreed with, and followed along the line of what Mr. Padgett had received earlier that century. Here is an excerpt of one, with more to follow:

Revelation #18, The First Supposed Miracle

The first supposed miracle is that of my having fed thousands of hungry listeners who were without food, and who, simply by my supposed powers, were supplied bread and water on the occasion of my preaching to them in the hills of Trans-Jordan. Well, I must say that the many people who ate with me that supper, ate fish and bread, wine, even figs and dates as well, which the New Testament does not mention. But this food had been either brought along with them or, as in the case of fish, had been caught from the fishing boat of my disciples and then cooked by some of the women who were present at the time. In other words, the meal which we all enjoyed was a substantial one, and was one that was retained in the recordings of my activities in Trans-Jordan by later writers who received it from my disciples. But this meal had nothing miraculous about it, except that all food is miraculous as it comes from the Heavenly Father for the sustenance of His children, but it was not a miracle in the sense that the New Testament interprets and conceives it to be.

During that same evening, my disciples took their fishing boat and turned their way back to Galilee in the vicinity of Capernaum. I remained behind to dismiss the multitude, which was considerably less than four or five thousand, then withdrew to pray. I later took one of the little boats of the many anchored near the shore and made my way in it that night. As the wind was strong, I was eventually able to catch up with them. They were happy to see me and took me onto their fishing boat, but with the moonlight shining on my white robe, it appeared, as they later told me, that I looked like a ghost, and that standing up near the bow of the boat, it seemed that I was walking on the waves. From this episode has come the story of my having walked on the waters, which also has had a deterrent effect upon my mission as the Messiah.

During the course of Jesus’ ministry on earth he was asked many questions. One might have been something like this: What foods do we need to avoid eating in order to not become defiled? Jesus explained that it isn’t what goes into the mouth, but what proceeds from it that defiles a person’s soul. The food one eats is digested by the body, which uses what it needs and discards the rest. The words one utters in anger, criticism, condemnation, and the like, are what defiles a person’s soul… People also criticized Jesus for hanging-out with sinners. He responded with a question; When people are well, do they go to a doctor? I say that people who are lost, confused or out-of-harmony with love, are in ned of ministering and guidance. God has promised all beloved souls that sincere, heart-felt prayers for Love and Mercy will bring the healing balm of Divine Love into their souls and start them on a spiritual pathway.

Many people living on earth today are out-of-harmony with love and are in need of ministering. If they want their lives to come into alignment with Love and Truth, they could benefit from the message Jesus gave to his followers. It is really quite simple, but not easy to understand, because humankind has fallen far from the perfection in which it was created. This fall from Grace occurred millions of years ago (scientists who have discovered evidence of the evolution of the human species have not gone back far enough to realize there had been a ‘devolution’), after which the behavior of the human being, God’s beloved children, became similar to that of the animals in the field.

Humans, God’s special creations, are souls in physical bodies during their life on earth. They have the ability to progress in love. It is their free will choice to behave how they wish, but what they may fail to realize is that ‘they will reap what they have sown.’ If they find themselves in a dark place when they go into the spirit world, it’s a result of their unloving choices and actions while living on earth.

It behooves a person to do their best to become as loving, caring and giving as they can. This will qualify them for a bright and harmonious plane when they go into the spirit world. God blesses us according to our loving choices.

Year after year and century after long centuries, the human mind has decided what it believes was meant by certain spiritual information. The material, intellectual, and reasoning mind is not capable of discerning spiritual truths. It, therefore, needs to rely upon its own interpretation. The motives may be well intended, but the result can be misleading because other minds reach different conclusions as to the meaning of certain teachings, to say nothing of the variety of religions, languages, customs, etc., etc.

Jesus was an example of love, acceptance, caring, giving and humility. He explained to his followers that he was a son of God, and that they all were sons and daughters of God. That they had the same potential to develop the Christ Potential in their souls as he had; through prayers, aspirations and desires to become at-One with God in Spirit, by praying for and receiving Divine Love. Jesus was a grown man when he received the final amout of God’s Grace which made him the Christ. This occured during his baptism in the river Jordan by his cousin John, the Baptist.

Even though Jesus was born free of sin, and prayed throughout his growing up years, he was a grown man before achieving the new-birth of soul and becoming the Christ. I suspect that no one living on earth at this time was born free of sin, so we need to be patient with ourselves and may need to try a little harder to overcome our inherited tendencies, blocks, fears, etc.  The way I understand it is that God had been wanting to rebestow the privilege to receive the Gift of Grace at such time that humankind had become evolved enough to want spiritual nourishment. It was our beloved brother, Jesus, who fulfilled that hope, due to his longing to be close to his Heavenly Parent, while he was still in his mother’s womb. God rebestowed the soul potential to receive this wondrous Divine Substance to ALL souls at that time, over two thousand years ago.

It is available now. You and I can pray to our awesome Creator for the inflowing of Divine Love and become transformed into divine souls. It has the power to change natural souls into divine angels, in due time. I’m on board that Divine Love train, as taught by Jesus. You are invited, by God, to get on board.. See you in the Celestial Heavens.

In an earlier Blog, I mentioned that a message received in the 1950’s contained information from a Celestial Spirit about the creation of humankind. This is part of what was received (not verbatim): “Human beings, as they are ordinarily considered, are creations which passed through what one would call a long period of development, which enabled living beings to come into existance and survive. Human nature is, therefore, both animal, or material, in accordance with the conditions of their physical beings, and spiritual, at the same time, in accordance with the soul qualities and attributes given to them at the time God bestowed a soul upon them. In short, human nature is dual and thus we have humankind with animal passions and feelings and interrelated with these are those emotions and feelings which belong to their spiritual nature as the result of having received a soul. The Bible reference to the creation of man, refers to the creation of human beings in the image of God, or to the time when God, the Great Soul, conferred upon the animal prototype a soul and made them the greatest of his creations.”

Accounts of creation will vary according to a persons spiritual development; there were no people present to take notes, when the first children/parents received their soul. But the Celestial angels have been praying for and receiving God’s transforming Divine Grace for centuries, and have been Born-Again in Love. Happiness and Wisdom are principles of Divine Love, which means highly developed spirits can acquire an inner-knowing of Truth, due to their connection with the Source, The Creator Soul.

Each person is responsible for finding spiritual truths for themselves. The material, or reasoning mind is not capable of grasping high spiritual truth. This is evident in the vast conglomeration of ‘beliefs’ which abound on earth and, in my humble opinion, is the cause of so many disputes, and even wars, which have plagued humankind century after century. Some enlightened people have developed their souls in Love and have exemplified the Way to Peace, Harmony and Love, but not many followers have obtained God’s Love into their souls. Following the Leader does not bring God’s Divine Love into the soul of the follower. Each individual person needs to take responsibility for the development of their own soul. One needs to pray to the Source for the nourishment needed to develop their spiritual change.

I’ve been contemplating all the different points of view people have in the world and wonder how harmony, joy, peace and love will ever be achieved. Someone-Up-There has it worked out through Perfect Governing Laws. I have faith that the Law of Eventual Harmony will come to pass. It is up to the people, each and every individual soul, to accept the free will choice of all other human beings in order for Brotherly Love, and Heaven on Earth, to become a reality.

For example; If someone is representing an untruthful premise in their teachings, they are the ones who will need to learn from their mistakes. It isn’t another persons job to interfere with that persons choice. The ones who are following that teacher ‘want to believe’ what is being represented is the truth. Maybe they need a Leader to follow, or they might not feel capable of finding their own spiritual pathway. They may not yet know about an important way one can find a fulfilling spiritual avenue for themselves. An ‘internal search’ needs to be made through their intuition, with the help of prayer connection to God and seeking angelic guidance.

We have a special friend who believes in the concept of reincarnation. I’m not familiar with the teachings, but have heard many different points of view. One explanation I’ve heard is that, eventually a person will reach Nirvana, when all their karma/compensation has been satisfied. Our friend has decided to live his life in the most loving and perfect way, so he will be qualified to enter the state of Nirvana when he leaves this earth life. Isn’t that a wonderful choice to make! He will have prepared himself for a joyous after-life, while at the same time making his earth life filled with happiness., and helping to bring greater peace, love and harmony to earth-mother.

Everuone enters a plane in the spirit world, when they leave their earth life, which is exactly compatible to the condition of their soul. It can be a wonderful surprise, or a disappointment, depending upon what kind of life they lived. I acknowledge that God has given all beloved souls a will so free that even he will not interfere with their decisions. It is up to everyone to decide what they want their future experience to be. Seek truth with heart-felt longings, and you will be guided onto a clear spiritual pathway.

I am happy to write about the fact that people living on earth at this time (and at all times in the past and in the future) will continue their life in the Ethereal World, when they pass from their earth life. I am excited about the wonderful information which the highly developed spirits have been able to channel through sensitive souls on earth, giving descriptins about the amazing and wonderful events and surroundings one will experience in their next life.

I realize that there are many people living on earth who do not believe there is any way one can know about what happens after they die. But, first of all, souls do not die, they leave the flesh body encased in their spirit body. The soul attracts a spirit body when it incarnates into the embryo in the womb. The spirit body takes on a similar appearance of the flesh body, which is an aid to recognizing the person in the spirit world. The spirit body becomes more bright and lovely as the soul progresses in love.

It is up to each and every individual person to progress in love. It is good to have activities which are enjoyable, productive and helpful to fellow human beings. But they are especailly helpful when they are carried out in love. God is Love and Love is the highest law. If one wants to develop the highest potential of their soul, they need to make an effort to do so. One’s natural love is pure before incarnation, but as a result of humankinds imperfections, which are the result of their unloving choices, the children inherit the imperfect tendencies of their ansestors, even unto the 3rd and 4th generations.

It is a huge challenge to purify the natural love through the doing of good deeds and renouncing wrong-doings. God has provided help; the potential of the soul to receive the Gift of Grace. Divine Love is the highest Love; It is the Substance of God’s Soul. This transforming Love has the Power to change a soul from the image into the Essence of Divinity, through prolonged prayers for God’s Gift of Grace. It will never be given to anyone who does not want It. In order to receive Divine Love, one must ask God for It. Sincere prayers need to be extended to the OverSoul every day, if one wants to continue progressing in Love.
